You're Not Broken. The System Is.
Tired of psychotherapy that pathologizes your queerness, creativity, and resistance to harmful systems?
You've tried traditional therapy. Maybe multiple times. But something always felt off - like you were being asked to shrink yourself, manage symptoms, or "fix" parts of you that aren't actually broken.
Here's what you really need: A space that sees your sensitivity as strength, your queerness as wisdom, and your struggles as rational responses to sick systems.
I partner with artists, careworkers, empaths, and queer folx who stand for collective justice - supporting you to authentically thrive beyond the binaries. Through relational, somatic, and creative accompaniment, I work with those who dearly love to laugh, who care fiercely for others, and maybe need a little help showing that love towards themselves.
For those who might describe their gender as a garden or a galaxy. For those who long to shift from patterns of abandonment towards authentic being & belonging.
The Problem With Traditional Therapy
Traditional therapy treats you like a collection of symptoms to manage:
Labels and diagnoses that reduce your complexity
Clinical protocols that ignore your lived experience
Pathologizing your natural responses to oppression
Hierarchy that positions the therapist as expert on YOUR life
Individual focus that ignores systemic harm
No wonder it doesn't work for queer, creative, justice-minded people like you!

You Deserve Something Different
I've supported hundreds of queer, creative, justice-minded folks who've felt misunderstood by clinical spaces that pathologize their natural responses to oppressive systems.
You're not the problem. You just need an approach that:
Honors your queerness as wisdom, not pathology
Sees your sensitivity and creativity as strengths
Understands that your struggles are responses to sick systems
Works WITH your values instead of against them
That's exactly what I provide.
What This Actually Looks Like
Instead of sitting in a sterile office talking about your "issues," you might:
Explore Different Roles
"What if you traded places with that inner critic? What would they say?"
"Let's give each part of your conflict a voice and see what emerges"
Tap Into Creative Medicine
Movement, writing, visualization, play—whatever your spirit calls for
No performance required, just authentic expression
Work With Your Body's Wisdom
"I'm noticing tension in your shoulders—what do they need right now?"
"If that feeling could move through you completely, what would happen?"
Connect Personal to Political
"Does this struggle feel only yours, or connected to something bigger?"
"What would your ancestors want you to know about this?"

This Space Is For You If...
✅ You're an artist feeling burnt out trying to create under oppression

✅ You're queer/trans and tired of spaces that don't truly see you
✅ You're neurodivergent and done with being pathologized
✅ You're an empath who needs to learn sustainable boundaries
✅ You're justice-minded but struggling with despair or burnout
✅ You describe your gender as "a garden or a galaxy"
✅ You're ready to stop performing perfection and start living authentically

About Sye (they/them)
I'm a white-bodied, nonbinary, queer, neuroqueer, Ashkenazi anti-Zionist Jewish healer living on the unceded ancestral lands of Huichin and Ohlone peoples.
My credentials: Registered Drama Therapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, trauma-informed yoga teacher, with extensive training in liberation-focused healing approaches.
My practice approach: I do not offer traditional psychotherapy. Creative Arts Therapists in CA are not governed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and I've intentionally chosen to work outside the clinical model that pathologizes and diagnoses. My guidance centers intuitive healing, narrative processing, integration, and strength-based holistic care.
My truth: I'm not healed—I'm healing. Forever. I believe healing is a collective field we all participate in, not an individual achievement or destination.
When I'm not supporting folks in practice, you'll find me dancing, tending friendships, rolling on the floor with cats, cooking, organizing in community, and voraciously learning ADHD-style.
I show up as my authentic self with the hope of inviting you to do the same.
This work has been shaped by liberation teachers and communities who understand our freedom is interconnected—including dean spade, adrienne maree brown, angela davis, and many others showing us that another world is possible.
